The Gym show has been postponed
and will be now on the 12th February. We felt that with the recent
bout of adverse weather and a number of key rehearsals missed that it was the
best decision to allow all students to demonstrate their work to the best of
their abilities. All tickets that have been bought so far will still be valid
for the 12th February. Any questions please feel free to contact the
PE department.

Y10 Girls Basketball V Beaumont
L24-57
The year 10 girls basketball team
in their first season playing at this level have done exceptionally well. They
came up against a very organised and well-drilled outfit in Beaumont school.
The game was an intense and well fought affair with a number of our girls
demonstrating how much progress they have made this year. Unfortunately the
girls did lose 24-57 with a number of key performances from Chloe Pettengell
and Emily Mair.
Y7 Girls County Basketball Rally
The year 7 girls basketball team
were successful in the district round which catapulted them onto the county
stage. They travelled to Wodson Park, Ware to take on the other top schools in
Hertfordshire. The girls put in some outstanding performances and battled hard
to show the range of skills they have been working on this year. They did,
however struggle against some of the more established girls’ basketball schools
and weren’t able to progress from the early rounds. This is a fantastic
achievement to reach this level in year 7 and all the girls involved should be
very proud. Well done!
